The cut is relaxed rather than fitted, which is most of what you want from a flannel shirt in September: room for a tee underneath, room to wear it open as a layer over one. The hem is curved, so it sits flat tucked in and hangs straight left out. Sizes run M to XXXL.

The weave is soft and breathable, in red, green or yellow plaid. Buttons run the full front and repeat at the cuffs, which roll back and stay rolled. It goes under a wool coat in December and works on its own through the mild weeks either side of it.
